It sounds to me like *everybody* needs to reevaluate their dog caregiving skills in your household! As a family, you need to discuss (and follow through on) the proper way to take care of a dog. This also includes regular walks, because at five months, this pup should be housebroken! Set up a written schedule, and follow it. The dog's welfare should be put before petty family squabbles, because she's counting on your family to care for her.
