Dogs and cats in pet stores...what do you think?

I just answered a question in Cats where a pet store asked a cat owner not to bring her cat into the store anymore because it "enticed" the dogs people brought in. According to the asker, the cat was well-behaved and ignored the dogs she came in contact with. Apparently she brings the cat to the store frequently. I find it discriminative to ban a cat from the store on this basis. If she's well-behaved there, I'd think the dog owners are at fault for not having their dogs trained to tolerate the situation. Not trying to start a dog vs cat war here, just would like to know what dog owners have to say about it. Also, I do not take my own cats to pet stores because they aren't "social" kitties and it would result in total chaos.
