I've had the taste of metal..?

The other night, I put in some medicated eye drops, and had an allergic reaction. I was rushed to the air hospital becuase my air cavaties were closing, and I was begining to hyperventilate. At the hospital they were able to slow my body's reaction down to the medication, and eventually enduce a temporary coma, so my body can breath with a breathing machines help. I came home from the hospital early this morning, and still can't get the taste of metal out of my mouth. Does anyone know the cause of this? Or if it's just relative to my reaction to the medicated drops..
